toxic family...

the other day, hubby asked me if my Dad ever apologized to me before he died for the way he mistreated me. i said "no" but i never really expected him to. he was too proud to admit that he had wronged me, Dan, and Justin and that he essentially disregarded my whole family (especially his 9 great-grandchildren... his loss!) 
when he remarried...

so, when i read this post on IG, you can understand how it resonated with me...
and really, i'm OK with moving on without that apology...
